Join PEEC and LEWF for a day of wildlife fun at the Los Alamos Nature Center on Saturday, August 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This family-friendly event is packed with activities, booths, and games — all focused on living safely and respectfully with black bears and other local wildlife in northern New Mexico. Big thanks to Century Bank for sponsoring this year’s Bear Festival!
Discover how we can coexist with wildlife through hands-on learning, crafts, food, a scavenger hunt, and more. Local, regional, and state organizations will be on hand to share tips and resources on managing human-wildlife interactions.
🚶♀️ Please note: The Nature Center parking lot will be closed to vehicles during the event. We encourage you to walk, bike, or park across the street at the United Church. Most activities will take place outdoors, so come prepared for some fresh air fun!
